Lockdown eases

Over several weeks the UK Government gradually return freedom of movement to the English people whilst maintaining various restrictions and closures of particular shops, venues...etc
Using the car (or bike) to go anywhere becomes a necessary 'Wellbeing' staple part of the day and its very noticeable how folks are getting tired of Lockdown and taking to the roads
We are no exception....

Ringside seats for the annual sheep 'haircut' session

Matt the local sheep farmer works his backside off on a very hot day to give our neighbours some relief from the heat

Proper way to cool off

Malc and Bobby visit us on a few occasions and the bikes are put through their paces in the local Derbyshire Dales

Finally some normality resumes and non pub related walks are back on the agenda for this trio of ex Firefighters

Similar routes to many of the past but just really good to get out, stroll and 'chew the fat'

Perfect lunch spot atop Whatstandwell

A nice amount in one hit which left my legs aching

Left at home as usual but one day we'll walk together again.....

The memories of so many walks we've done here and abroad haunt her and its obviously distressing but behind the scenes she's working extremely hard to get back on her feet

The weather is really good and I'm despatched off for a few hours R & R every few days in to our beautiful surrounding countryside
This being in the hills near Dovedale

and parked up locally at Winster

Pat and Jane bring beer and good cheer one day doing the now familiar social distancing thing

The view from the rear of the farmhouse a couple of hours before a huge thunderstorm flooded everywhere including our washroom (thanks to the roof light being left open)

Further relaxing of lockdown rules are due on 4th July including it seems the ability to receive beer table service from a mumbling waitress behind a face shield in a pub. Not our kind of return to normality but thankfully businesses may be rescued from the cliff edge of bankruptcy and it has to start somewhere

With this new 'excitement' to come we intend to relocate for a month down near Emilja & Richards for a change of scene, service the bike and bimble around the delights of Suffolk so something to look forward to again
