Fall & Einsiedl

We are quite surprised how many vans are here at the moment. There was no room at the Inn when we passed through both Füssen & Garmisch-Partenkirschen stellplatze.
The latter was a big surprise as its quite large and usually only has a few vans there. Its really best known for its winter sports activities
So a re-plan was required and we turned up in the dark at one of our favourite spots, namely Fall, high in the Allgau hills for two days in the great outdoors

We love this place. The stellplatz is in the woods in total silence at night and has a few watering holes nearby just in case the urge takes you and it does trust me after a day on the bikes

There is a toll road between Fall and Walgau 21km along the river bed and it makes for a great ride

The radweg emerges bizarrely in the middle of a golf course just before the town

German rustic restaurant engineering
The Schnitzels were sehr gut!

We spend the next day at Tennsee campsite near Krün just down from Mittenwald not on a jolly but doing the washing and gutting the van. The hoover was red hot at the end but a hugely successful day rounded off by a great meal in the on-site restaurant

Onwards we discover a great spot for two days at Einsiedl and bike/walk both days until we were visibly thinner!

Again a toll road with very little traffic follows the shore of a huge lake

Imagine this flood dyke in full winter flow

How this girl copes with the bell noise all day I don't know

A pensive Nina wonders why we are drinking coffee for a change

You are what you eat!

At ride's end I set off on my own while the dinner magics itself on to the table. This is Walchensee where I think we'll go tomorrow
