Schloss Marienburg & Hamelschenburg

The next week or so it was really hot which saw us visit a couple of Schlossen

Schloss Hamelschenburg
A guided tour in german by a very enthusiastic guide proved very interesting especially when she told the group the german royalty was interlaced with British breeding!
The group stared at us as if we were responsible for the dilution of the Hanoverians
All friendly really!

We stepped outside to 34 degs and no breeze

This was Nina's favourite so far
Alas no photos allowed of the interior again but suffice to say it was stunning!
Oak panelling in all rooms exquisite ceiling decorations and cornicing. The octagonal library was a masterpiece of wood carving.
