Meiningen is a beautiful town in Thuringia, formerly in Eastern Germany, and the scene we gather of several protests against Soviet domination
I could not believe our luck when we pulled up in dull weather seeing in the distance a Brauerie. This was the evening meal and entertainment sorted so off we toddled in to town
More love stuff on the park bridge
Another drinking establishment, Henneburg House, but thankfully closed until evening time
St Marien church with a trip up its spiral tower staircase to reveal superb views over the town and more vertigo for me
At the top of the tower bizarrely enough is a small tea room run by the old ladies who look after the church. Cakes and refreshments laid on FOC but of course we left a donation
Proper graffiti
After the heat of summer its great to see the autumn arrive
The English Garden near the Staatstheater
